Red light Area (RLA) Outreach Program​

The Red Light Area (RLA) Outreach Program is dedicated to protecting, supporting, and empowering women who are victims and survivors of sex trafficking. Through consistent outreach in brothels, along with life skills programs, counselling, and vocational training, the program seeks to restore hope and dignity in their lives.

Our outreach efforts across the red light area of Kamatipura, Grant Road, Sonapur, Bhiwandi, Turbhe, Vasai, Nalasopara, and Budhwar Peth focus on building trust and meaningful relationships. This engagement encourages women to participate in training and rehabilitation initiatives. Based on their skills and talents, women are also referred for suitable employment opportunities, enabling them to experience freedom, dignity, and holistic restoration.

We also provide childcare support for children living in brothels, facilitating their referral to safer housing facilities and shelter homes. In addition, we ensure access to education and protection services, working to keep every child safe and secure.

Women are equipped with practical skills in tailoring and advanced bag design, supported by stipends that foster economic independence. Alongside vocational training, trauma focused counselling sessions help women heal emotional wounds, build resilience, and rediscover hope. Twenty-two structured life skill modules covering communication, self-esteem, decision making, budgeting, and goal setting further strengthen everyday resilience. To ensure well-being, every trainee receives a nutritious meal daily.

Healthcare remains a vital part of our mission. Our team accompanies women to hospitals for regular check-ups and collaborates with partner organizations to provide accessible, quality medical care.

To build staff capacity a quarterly trauma-competency training has been organized.
